Y-Tron and I had fun hanging out, eating tofu quesadillas, drinking Red Bull Cola & Ginger Ale, and making beats come out of loud speakers all night last night at “East End“. OK, fine. I was the only one having drinks suitable for a 10 year old at the 2010 Mixtape Meltdown. (FYI: Red Bull should change their slogan from “Gives you wings” to “Gives you the jitters and makes you feel crazy ’til 8am the next morning”).
Anyway, thanks for swinging through. We love you guys. Oh, and the tofu quesadilla they made me was the best shit I have ever had. Just sayin’.

Tomorrow night (Sunday, March 7th) at “East End” (203 SE Grand) in Portland, Y-Tron and I will be taking over the sound system from 10 til late for a FREE DJ night! Come hear what our laptops sound like!!! We’re going to be playing all of our favorite songs.
See you there, folks!

I’ve teamed up with “East End” and will be pumping out my favorite jams with Y-Tron on Sunday, March 7th at 10pm! I’ll be the one in the DJ booth drinking ginger ale on the roxxx, ordering snacks and making you hi-five each other all night.
See you there! It’s FREE and gonna be so fun!!!

Well, the annual whirlwind of shows, parties and appearances that come along with Musicfest Northwest has, for this year, come to and end. What a fun, LONG weekend that was!
Thanks to all of you who came out to my MFNW showcase on Friday at East End! It was my first show performing with “Cars & Trains” and we had the best time! Tom (aka “Cars & Trains”) is so talented and I feel SUPER excited about working with him as my new live show collaborator. He has really helped pushed my sound on stage to the next level and I feel a renewed sense of excitement for performing these songs, having been re-interpreted a bit for the new diggz.
It’s been really inspirational to watch “Cars & Trains” in action, both at rehearsal over the past few months and then FULL BLAST at the East End show. I caught myself looking over at how fast his hands and arms were moving from computer to drumpad to electronic gadgetry the other night and wondering how it was even humanly possible for one’s limbs to be moving at such speeds and with such accuracy. So cool. I am, as ever, surrounded by talented folks who know what they are doing. All I really have to say about that is HELL YEAH!!!
“Cars & Trains” and I will be bringing our show back East next month for my CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival showcase at “The Bowery Electric”…Can’t wait to see ya! Thanks again, Portland, for showing up on Friday, for being there with your dancing shoes on, and for making my night…My MFNW 2009 RULED! Hope yours did too.
