Well, the wait is almost over. My new single “The Last High” is coming out ONE WEEK FROM TODAY (on Tuesday, January 19th) on “Beat The World” Records. It’s a cover of a song originally released by “The Dandy Warhols” and is being released BY said Warhols, so…I’m feeling really excited that they dig what I’ve done with their song. WHEW!

To get you all ready for the release (which also has a KILLER B-Side remix of the song by Y-Tron, who produced the single) I uploaded the track to the music player on this site, SO GO CHECK IT OUT!!!

As many of you already know, I have been working with a new producer (Y-TRON) on another record for a few months now. We are releasing our version of The Dandy Warhols‘ song “The Last High” next Tuesday (the 19th) as a sneak-peek of what’s coming later this year.

I spent the day recording and mixing the first track “Fall Into New Arms” off the new record (which has yet to be titled) all day Saturday with Jeremy Sherrer (at The Dandys’ studio) and I am feeling really excited about this new group of songs. Gonna be a GOOD year in music land. Thank god my personal life fell apart last year, eh? It’s equaling out to a million new songs as a result. Oh, irony: I hate you, I love you.

I LOVE A GOOD NEW YEAR’S EVE COUNTDOWN, DON’T YOU???

Just got word from the folks at my label that my cover of The Dandy Warhols’ song “The Last High” will be released on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 from Beat The World Records. The song was produced by Y-TRON and was mixed by Jeremy Sherrer at The Odditorium (where the original was made!) Pretty fun.

You can check out The Warhols’ version HERE, but you’ll have to wait until next month to hear mine. Here is the cover art to tide you over…

We shot a video for this song as well that is being edited as we speak. We’ll be laying all of it on you next month, folks! Stay tuned…

As you probably know, I am about to release my cover of The Dandy Warhols’ song “The Last High”. We shot a video for the new single this weekend with the folks at “Bystander Productions” (who were also responsible for my “Feed Me To The Wolves” video in 2007) and it was quite the production. Director Rebecca Micciche had a very clear vision of what she wanted and executed it over the 20 hour shoot on Saturday. It was a LONG day for everybody involved, but the film turned out INCREDIBLE in the end.

Thanks so much to everybody on the cast and crew…obviously Rebecca Micciche, Jesse Cooke, Brad Reeb, Brian Mohr, Cassie Daugherty, Mike, Jess, Shola, Uwe, Jeremy, Lotti, Yosh, Hayden, Monica, Maija, Kassandra, Lyndsay, Nikki, Dani, Andrew, Nick, Lacie, Quan, Ross, Erika, and Kayla…there were bazillions of extras this time and I spent the entire day in bed with each of them, one after the other. What can I say? I get around. ha ha ha Each and every one of you was great and we got what we had planned and more for the scenes. I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing the finished product and then sharing it with all of you! It’s gonna be SO cool when it’s done in post-production.

It’s Friday, September 4th 2009—and, as promised: The wait IS, in fact, OVER. My new record, “From Pillar To Post”, doesn’t hit stores, iTunes and everywhere else until Tuesday, November 24th…but we decided that “waiting is stupid so why do it any longer?”

You guys can get an advance digital copy of the record NOW when you pre-order the CD, Vinyl or any of the packages we have going on for the pre-release festivities…or, keep it simple and just stick to the digital. Either way, all of you who pick it up during this time will also receive ALL FOUR VOLUMES of the “Blood In The Water” Remix EP Collection—33 songs all together!

I want to thank Carlos Cortes who co-wrote and Produced the record with me, Jeremy Sherrer who Mixed it, K. Evan Hodge IV (K4) who Mastered it, all the musicians who played and performed on it, all the remixers who remixed it, Ryan Wines for making the release a reality and all of you who have believed in this project since day one (my songs AND in me) PARTICULARLY The Dandy Warhols, who have been so patient with me during the last couple of years while I made it…never pressuring me to hurry up and finish, always offering advice and support, letting me roam free in their kingdom so the record could take shape…”Thank you” doesn’t really cut it for anyone on that list, but it’s a start.
