Hey guys! It’s been a minute since I gave away a FREE SONG so I figured now’s as good a time as any. I’ve said it before, but Styrofoam is one of my all time favorites. I first heard him when someone bought me a CD of his called “I’m What’s There To Show Something’s Missing” in 2003 (which you can get on iTunes HERE) and I have followed him closely ever since. He’s been a huge inspiration to me throughout the years and I’m still pissing my pants every time I think about how awesome it is that he came on board for the project, digs my record, etc. He’s, like…the fucking Godfather of my genre and his stamping “cool” on my record has made me all smiles for years to come.

The godfather of my genre and one of my all-time musical HEROES, Belgium Electropop Genius Arne Van Pategem-aka “Styrofoam”- has served as inspiration for “Death Cab For Cutie” frontman Ben Gibbard’s side project “The Postal Service” (see The Postal Service’s Top Friends on Myspace) and he certainly has done the same for me since I first heard his record “I’m What’s There To Show Something’s Missing” in 2003.

The fact that this guy likes my music means the world to me, and getting him actually working with one of my songs for the remix project has meant even more. You are gonna go crazy when you hear what he did to “Bleed Him Out”. It’s amazing…and coming at you on Volume 3 in November!

I did a post with the tracklists for Volumes 1 and 2 of my “Blood In The Water” Remix EP Project when we announced them last month which you can check out HERE… but we have been working on a grand-scale remix project for the songs from my new record, “From Pillar To Post”, for MONTHS!

There have been SO many talented folks putting their spin on my music this year it has been pretty incredible. I am just as excited about the release of the “Blood In The Water” Remix EP collection as I am about “From Pillar To Post” and, when you pick up the new record during the Pre-Release from this site (WHICH IS GOING ON NOW HERE) you get ALL FOUR REMIX EP’S FREE WITH YOUR PURCHASE!!! As you may already know, I have been working on a MASSIVE remix project with TONS of DJ’s, Producers, and Bands from all over the world which “Beat The World” is releasing alongside my new record. All of the songs are remixes of tracks off of “From Pillar To Post” and it has been really fun to hear other people’s versions of my songs! Each of the four Remix EP’s contains 5 songs and I now have the pleasure of announcing the tracklist for the first two volumes!!!

“Blood In The Water” Volume 1 will be released on September 4th along with “From Pillar To Post”. Volume 2 will follow in October, Volume 3 in November, and the final installment, Volume 4, in December.
