I was the guest on KBOO FM’s Out Loud Radio show this week in support of the charity record I produced for queer programs and services in the Pacific Northwest, Comp 175, which was released this past Tuesday. The show features songs by me and others who appear on the compilation. Other guests include Kelly Moe and Jeb Havens. Good times!!!
“Live From Nowhere Near You” is a benefit record I was a part of for homeless youth at Outside In and it was released today. Actually, last night at midnight. By 1:00am they had sold 5,000 CD’s and were sold out. Good times, right?! OMG.
New songs by me, Elliott Smith, The Dandy Warhols, Pink Martini, Spoon, The Helio Sequence, The Strokes, Wilco, Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, Gang of Four, Sleater-Kinney, Viva Voce, Modest Mouse & so many more!!! You can read the full list HERE.
It’s been about 2 months since I broke my world apart and set off to build a new one. My advice to all of you is this: If you’re miserable, leave. If you don’t like the boat you’re in, poke holes in it & sink it to the bottom. The rest of the world awaits you.
I have seen all of your names on the list as the donations and album orders have come in and there is just no way you will ever know how much it has meant to me. I am deeply touched by your support on this new journey and am, quite frankly, in love with each and every one of your sweet faces!!!
This has been the greatest gift. Y’all really came through on this one, so…thank you. You’re a bunch of superheroes.
My new record “I Killed Tomorrow Yesterday” was produced by Bryan Cecil and self-released as a fundraiser for Q Center on Tuesday, August 31st.
