LOGAN LYNN // NEW MONEY \\ OUT NOW!

Shout-out to everyone still creating and trying to make shit happen during this absolutely fucked up time in the world.

After canceling tour dates, pulling out of festivals, and postponing my album release show 3 times due to Covid-19, I am finally going to perform this thing on Saturday.

We will be doing more of these secret, private, Covid-safe shows over the coming months. The only way to hear about them is by subscribing to my newsletter. If you aren’t already signed up, make it happen on the right column of this site.

And to everyone who refuses to do very basic things to keep other people safe and end this pandemic already: You can’t sit with us.

XOXO
Logan

Huge thanks to Portugal. The Man for letting us put this show together for Kill Rock Stars at the PTM rehearsal space. It’s been rad. ❤️

We’re off until May 4th but here I am sitting in a chair that makes me look like I am a giant.

(Reader: I look like I am a giant because I am a giant)

Also I have had all of this stage lighting in my bedroom for months while we rehearsed and today the lighting team finally came and picked it all up in advance of secret things we’re announcing soon!

I got very sweaty and dirty but it feels like a mansion in here now. V pumped.

Mustache is back because the team wants the live show to match the album art.

My facial hair has become a group process.

Send help.

GAY SCREAMING!!!

I have been creating my 90s raver fantasy for this new live show in the background since last year and it is finally almost binky time, friends.

Been rehearsing a bunch and will be making some announcements here very soon.

New Money is coming for you.

PTM Night Out ♿️

For this current Portugal. The Man tour, we have launched the PTM NIGHT OUT initiative, in support of disabled fans requiring ADA access.

Portugal The Man’s 34-date North American tour alongside alt-J has been centered on the concept that ‘Everyone Deserves a Night Out’ and is designed with ADA accessible needs fans in mind. We had hundreds of entries and each winning ticket holder has been treated as a VIP guest of PTM; provided with transportation to and from the show, concierge escorts throughout the venue, as well as gifted merchandise and a special meet-and-greet with Eric Howk and other members of the band.

All of us on Team Portugal. The Man have experienced how difficult it can be for someone to get around venues in a wheelchair and we are placing emphasis on the importance of making live music accessible for fans through the #PTMNightOut program, in partnership with Accessible Festivals, as another step towards changing that.

LIVE MUSIC SHOULD BE SAFE, FUN, AND ACCESSIBLE FOR EVERYONE. ♿️

More to come…

AEG Presents // (📸 Maclay Heriot)

For everyone who keeps asking me when we are going to reschedule album release shows and announce tour dates in support of my new record for Kill Rock Stars, this is where we are headed:

The reality is, for many disabled artists and bands with people who have pre-existing conditions or compromised immune systems, playing shows without pretty extreme Covid safety precautions is not on the table right now.

THE PANDEMIC IS NOT OVER.

I can’t stress enough how thankful I am to be signed to a label that supports its artists and prioritizes our wellness and safety.

Label and labelmate support aside, you would not believe how much grief I’ve gotten from all kinds of people for pulling out of our tour and SXSW.

I wouldn’t normally spend an entire week retweeting the posts of friends, artists, and colleagues who caught Covid at a festival, but SXSW balked at all of our attempts to create (and pay for out of pocket) an actually safe environment for my showcase to still happen this year. They said no to keeping me safe, and we told them to go screw.

LOL ABLEISM.

Anyway, I stand by everything I wrote HERE when we pulled out of the festival and I am so fucking glad we didn’t go.

And please, for the love of music, wear your masks when you go to a show. It’s not that fucking hard and you are literally going to kill folks like me if you don’t.

I can’t make you all care about other people — but I wish you would. Live music should be accessible. Full stop.

Our SXSW showcase is happening in less than a month!

More on that soon.

Check out my interview on Austin Town Hall from this week in the meantime HERE.

Gucci // Kill Rock Stars

and HERE is their weekly jams playlist, which Baby Britain is on this week!

Yeah the world is ending but Gucci is dressing me for release week again so I guess it’s fine.

I am not playing any shows until it’s safe, friends. We made another music video instead of doing any live album release stuff (for now). It comes out Friday alongside the record on Kill Rock Stars!

Fingers crossed for March shows. Hoping we get to see you in real life again this spring.

💚❤️

Trying to build a live show and plan for the future during this time in the world is hilarious.

I’ve been signing checks like LOL THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

I love you all! Be safe out there. 🖤

So anyway, I guess I’m leaving the house.

We start rehearsals next month for my new live show and just booked a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to haul me and my lasers across the country for the big debut at SXSW in March.

Rave ‘til dawn, gays. See you in real life again this spring.

💚❤️
