LOGAN LYNN MUSIC + MANAGEMENT

A Man, His Dog and the Road…

Thanks for all the sweet messages over the past week since I announced I would be heading out on this new adventure! Many of you have asked what my next steps are, so here goes:

I bought a 2018 RoadTrek Simplicity SRT (pictured) that Pretty Baby and I picked up in Las Vegas this weekend, and now will be on the road for the foreseeable future, occasionally picking up GLASYS, Matt Alber and others to drive around with us, playing shows all over the country.

10 years ago a big piece of my recovery from alcohol and cocaine was locking myself in the house where I could be safe — and I have essentially been locked in here ever since (unless you paid me to leave). It has served me well in many ways, but it’s time to lock myself outside for a little while. See you soon, friends with driveways, outdoor power and water hookups!

I’m going to spend the next couple of months at the ocean while we book shows and get the record out. If you want us to come sing songs in your city, EMAIL US with your favorite venue and we’ll do our best to come see you. 🙂

XOXO
Logan

Singing to a Different Tune: How Logan Lynn Breaks Stigma With Music

Logan Lynn sometimes has unspeakable thoughts.

The versatile artist, whose music career has spanned more than 20 years, will often experience moments when he can’t quite communicate what he’s thinking, how he feels or why he feels it. It’s can be a paralyzing and terrifying conundrum, and one that is far too familiar to the millions of people like him who experience depression.

“My depression feels, at times, so great that I can’t even find words to tell someone how I’m feeling … but my pen usually seems to still work,” said Lynn, who has lived experience managing depression, addiction and suicidal ideation. Read the rest of this entry »

Feature Story on Logan Lynn and Portugal. The Man on Northwest Music Scene this Week!

Thank you to the folks at Northwest Music Scene for the feature story this week on our upcoming tour with Portugal. The Man! Check it out HERE, or keep reading below.

From Northwest Music Scene: (8/1/18)

Portland-based indie rockers Portugal. The Man are teaming up with Keep Oregon Well and its co-founder Logan Lynn to advocate for mental health awareness throughout Oregon.

Lynn, who co-founded the campaign in 2014, agreed that mental health needs to be discussed more openly to help break the stigma surrounding it. “As a suicide survivor myself, I know how important not feeling isolated is,” he said in a statement. “Stigma exists because people have been made to feel like mental and behavioral health challenges are personal character flaws, versus being like any other medical condition. If you break your arm tomorrow, would you feel shame?”

Lynn made clear that in all he does, he has only one end point in mind: “I won’t stop doing this work until every last bit of the shame that prevents people like me from seeking help in the first place, is gone.”
