Logan Lynn (2009)

The “Drunkenwarewolf” Music Blog is reviewing my new record in “Drunkenwarewolf” Issue #10 but they posted a little bit of what’s to come today on their site HERE.

Here’s a little to tide you over…

“A sneak peek of things to come in DrunkenWerewolf, this review will appear in Issue #10, but the record’s a good’un and I’ve been given the a-ok to post a few of the tracks (yay for music bods appreciating free downloads), so:

LOGAN LYNN – FROM PILLAR TO POST

From Pillar to Post is Logan Lynn’s debut full-length album. Released on The Dandy Warhols’ Beat the World Records, Lynn stands alongside psychedelic blues outfit The Upsidedown and cowboy collective Spindrift but is inarguably the label’s electronic counterpart, delivering sleep-heavy synths that echo the music of his patrons. “Odd Year” did two remixes for me, only one of which is being released in the “Blood In The Water” Remix EP Collection. “If He Hollers (Odd Year Remix)” is coming out on Volume 3 next month, but the other one which didn’t make the release can be heard over at thesixtyone.com HERE.

Happy listening, lovelies.

REMIXER SPOTLIGHT: DANIEL CARTIER + LOGAN LYNN

Daniel Cartier (2009)

I played Folsom Street Fair in 2006 and this guy had a set at the festival the same year…he was nuts and it was awesome. Daniel’s music is a nice mix of acoustic and lo-fi electronica. Think Yaz meets Tracy Chapman.

His remix of “Feed Me To The Wolves” is a booty shakin’, speaker bumpin’, dancefloor fillin’ sex romp and I dig it. Volume 1 kicks ass in part because of this guy. Now…go hump a speaker and have a listen. You can pick up this remix FREE with the purchase of my new record, “From Pillar To Post” HERE.
