The folks at the Music blog “Audio Drums” had this to say about “From Pillar To Post” today! —>
“Just received a copy of Logan Lynn’s new full length offering called, “From Pillar to Post” (due out later this year). Logan Lynn delivers on the promise of his hit, “Feed Me To The Wolves” by creating a rich, atmospheric and electronic collection of sounds and voice. Several stand out tracks on the album include:
If He Hollers – A cross breed of Depeche Mode starkness with Duran Duran production sensibilites. Easly one of the best tracks on the album!
Bottom Your Way To The Top – Industrial sounds and dark brooding make up the body of this track. In my mind, the video that is conjured upon listening to this track is: A slow free fall down an elevator shaft with glimpses of your troubled past on each floor.
Burning Your Glory – Melancholy heartache never sounded so pretty, simply breathtaking.”

“I’ll admit it, I have a soft spot for indie electronica. So when Protland based artist Logan Lynn sent me a promo of his new cd, From Pillar to Post, I just had to take a listen, and what I heard was pretty good.
There is a huge indie music scene in Portland and Logan Lynn has collaborated with Producer Carlos Cortes of Portland DJ collective Assemble The Empire, to create his 3rd studio Album.
With a similar feel to everyone’s favorite, Postal Service, he takes on a more indie rock feel rather then synthy pop. At times it can feel dark, but at others, there is nothing but blissful pop. Crafted electronic beats mixed with delicate vocals lends way to a great listening experience — not to powerful, but at the same time not lacking.
This is a perfect example of good indie electronica. Check it out…”

From “How Marvelous”:
“Two tasters from an album you likely can’t buy for six months – Logan Lynn’s From Pillar To Post was recorded at The Dandy Warhols’ studio & will be released on their own Beat The World label later this year.
I’m very partial to the first track here – Feed Me To The Wolves – and perhaps it’s the most accessible on the album?, feeling more like a song than a remix, or clever exploration of electronic rhythms & sounds, which is an impression I got from a couple of plays of the whole thing. If Burning Your Glory is more to your taste (a bit long for me), then you’ll almost certainly warm to the rest. It’s fairly gentle, introspective electro-beaty stuff; not exactly shoegazing, but err, contemplative, certainly. Bung it on loud enough to catch all the intricacies, chill out or sway about, and it’d be spot-on with a nice glass of red, or the relaxing drug of your choice.
From Pillar To Post is due in Autumn 2009 on Beat The World.”
