From: “The Culture Of Me”
“Portland-based alternative electro pop artist Logan Lynn headed into the Odditorium labs (of Dandy Warhols fame) to pen the 13-track debut album, From Pillar To Post, which will be hitting shelves in the fall of 09. It’s upbeat and anthemic, poppy, accessible, yet still forward-thinking enough to not end up in the bargain bin. Be on the lookout for sure for more about Logan Lynn and don’t forget to pick up his debut when it hits.”

Nice.

WERD.
Here’s the jist:
from “The Devil Has The Best Tuna”:
“There are times when you can’t improve on what’s already been written about an artist and, at the risk of appearing lazy here is what others have been saying about Portland’s electro-popper Logan Lynn:
‘If the Land of Misfit Toys elected a team of cultural ambassadors, Logan Lynn would be its poet laureate. In Portland’s pulsating music scene, he occupies a singular position- an emo prophet with a penchant for electronic beats, preaching the Good Word to drug-damaged crybabies.’
‘(Logan Lynn) made me think about what it would sound like if The Magnetic Fields smoked crack.’
‘Logan Lynn puts the Disco into ‘Discomfort’
Logan has recorded a new album, ‘From Pillar To Post’ which is coming out later this year on The Dandy Warhols’ record label BEAT THE WORLD but the Devil’s readers can have a sneak preview with two tracks from the album courtesy of Logan himself.”

From Willamette Week’s “Local Cut” Music Blog:
“It has been about 15 months since it was announced that Logan Lynn would sign to the Dandy Warhols’ Beat the World label. A potential big move for both Lynn and the Dandies, we felt. Well, yesterday the Portland electro-pop artist released the first sneak previews over on his MySpace page (which is where these things generally happen), and at his own website, where you can listen in hi-fi. The album, From Pillar to Post, should see the light of day in a few short months.”
“The new tunes have some Postal Service steez (not a bad thing…that was a working formula and no one ever really followed up on it, you know?), and sound fittingly detailed for having gestated in the Odditorium for two years. We’re looking forward to hearing the whole enchilada. Sorry, I’m in Texas. I have Mexican food on the brain.”
