As you probably know, I am about to release my cover of The Dandy Warhols’ song “The Last High”. We shot a video for the new single this weekend with the folks at “Bystander Productions” (who were also responsible for my “Feed Me To The Wolves” video in 2007) and it was quite the production. Director Rebecca Micciche had a very clear vision of what she wanted and executed it over the 20 hour shoot on Saturday. It was a LONG day for everybody involved, but the film turned out INCREDIBLE in the end.

Thanks so much to everybody on the cast and crew…obviously Rebecca Micciche, Jesse Cooke, Brad Reeb, Brian Mohr, Cassie Daugherty, Mike, Jess, Shola, Uwe, Jeremy, Lotti, Yosh, Hayden, Monica, Maija, Kassandra, Lyndsay, Nikki, Dani, Andrew, Nick, Lacie, Quan, Ross, Erika, and Kayla…there were bazillions of extras this time and I spent the entire day in bed with each of them, one after the other. What can I say? I get around. ha ha ha Each and every one of you was great and we got what we had planned and more for the scenes. I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing the finished product and then sharing it with all of you! It’s gonna be SO cool when it’s done in post-production.

“The Last High” audio will be coming at your ears in the next few weeks, followed by the video in December at some point, so stay tuned! I’ll announce specifics and post more stills as we get closer to release time. Thanks again to those of you who showed up, whether it was to work the set or roll around in bed with me. You were ALL incredible.

***NOTE: THIS CAME TO MY ATTENTION SHORTLY AFTER THIS BIRTHDAY WISH POST WENT LIVE EARLIER, BUT IT TURNS OUT THAT MY RADIO WISHES ALREADY STARTED BEING REALIZED ON SATURDAY WHEN JEREMY AT OPB PUT “FEED ME TO THE WOLVES” INTO THEIR LINEUP AND ON THE AIR! So…I am taking on radio and need your help to get things going. The first of the hard part is over. The music has been delivered and the DJ’s have my songs ready to roll at a few major radio stations out here in the Northwest region to start…I just need people to request that they play me and the wheels will be set in motion…then, suddenly, you will turn on your radio and hear me. Neat, huh?

I can’t really think of a better birthday present, and it’s free to send an email, so all of you who are scurrying around to get me something you think I don’t have can stop. I have everything but this…and this is what I am really wanting, so…go with this.

“Cars and Trains” and I will be taking our show on the road next month to perform at my CMJ Music Marathon Showcase! We’re both excited to show off the new diggz back East.
