My new video “Underground” just premiered today over at Earbuddy! The song is a collaboration with producer Rian Lewis (Chromeo, Gorillaz) and the video was brought to life by LAIKA Studios-trained animator and filmmaker Adam Taylor.
Watch the video HERE and read what Earbuddy had to say about the release below. You can also check out behind the scenes shots from the making of “Underground” HERE.

“PREMIERE: Logan Lynn ft. Rian Lewis – “Underground” Video”
Logan Lynn has a lot of credits to his name: musician, writer, composer, singer, producer, mental health advocate, LGBT activist, filmmaker and television personality. On October 12th, Lynn will release his ninth album, My Movie Star, the follow-up to 2016’s ADIEU. My Movie Star is a two-disc set, co-produced by Jay Mohr. The first disc offers Lynn’s version, while the second is all the songs reimagined by The Dandy Warhols, Tiffany, Jarryd James, Rian Lewis (Gorillaz, Chromeo), DoublePlusGood, Stose and many more. Today, we premiere the video for one of the album’s songs, “Underground”.
Portland musician and producer Rian Lewis joins him on the song. The video features claymation from Laika (the studio who created ParaNorman, Coraline and The Box Trolls) and the song itself is about the secret lives we keep hidden from the world – and the people who find us there.
Logan Lynn on the song and video:
“Growing up, I watched a lot of claymation cartoons and stop-motion holiday movies, so when I began to envision what this video should look like, I immediately went there. Laika (the Studio who created ‘ParaNorman’, ‘Coraline’ and ‘The Box Trolls’) is based in Portland, so I went out searching for animators who had come up through that culture, which is how we connected with animator Adam Taylor. The song itself is about the secret lives we keep hidden from the world — and the people who find us there.
Since this new record is all piano songs, we are releasing a second disc at the same time, made up of all of those songs reimagined by many of my favorite producers, bands and artists. Getting to collaborate with Rian Lewis on this track was really special. He really took this song to a pop place. I love a good, old-fashioned summer bummer.”
