Big thanks to my collaborator (and T-Pain muse) this round, GLASYS, whose sheer talent inspires me to no end. Thanks also to Justin Phelps (Amanda Palmer, Dresden Dolls, Dead Kennedys) and Mike Blackburn at The Hallowed Halls in Portland for being superior engineers and a joy to work with.
And most of all, thank you to my darling Jay Mohr, who inspired this record and is also Executive Producing it. For months on end, Jay pushed me to sit down at the piano and write, sing, and be brave in a way I have never been before. He was with me every step of this journey and this album just simply would not exist without him, his belief, his support, and his love.
I love it when the Bert to my Ernie, the Howard Stern to my Robin Quivers, the Tweedle-Dee to my Tweedle-Dum, the Chip to my Dale, the Sonny to my Cher, the Bette Midler to my Barbara Hershey (this exercise could go on for days) motherfuckin’ Bob Sugar himself, Jay Mohr booooobie comes to town!
Vacation shenanigans for days, y’all. 🙂
If you’ve ever wanted to watch Jay Mohr shave while I sing A cappella spirituals in the background, now’s your chance:

Pride is a 365 day annual experience for me. I come out over and over and continue to be a visible gay person in rooms that have maybe historically not been very welcoming…and are sometimes not welcoming still. My songs, my records, my style, my voice out in the world — those are the ways in which I am able to combat the oppression in my life. My response to the election, to the violence in the community, is to dial my gay up. You thought I was sparkly before? Well, look at me now. Read the rest of this entry »
