This year I attended Q Center’s Annual Gala fundraiser for Portland’s LGBTQ Community with Ruth Radelet, lead singer of Chromatics (and muse to Karl Lagerfeld). We are old friends and it was a really fun, fancy night. Portland Society Page featured the event and ran a photo of the two of us being fancy and having fun HERE.

Below are some of the highlights from our evening…

Well, that was fun. Thanks to everyone who came out to our showcase this past Sunday at the 2014 Mo-Wave Festival in Seattle! At one point during the show, I looked out and saw Christeene, Justin Bond, Carletta Sue Kay and the boys from Night Cadet in the audience — which was really special.

I adored everyone I got to know this weekend and I look forward to seeing you all again soon! Thank you again to Mo-Wave organizers Jodi Ecklund, Markus Wilson and Seth Garrison for having us perform. Chop Suey recorded the audio and my drummer AC filmed our set, so there will be live clips sometime soon, which I will share. Here are some of the photo highlights to tide you over:

I had a great time hosting WNBA star (and OUT lesbian) Brittney Griner this week at Q Center in Portland! Brittney read from her book, answered questions, signed and gave out copies of “In My Skin”, took photos, and was just generally wonderful. She even brought packs of Skittles and Cliff bars for all of the LGBTQ youth and friends in attendance. What a gem!

At one point during today’s dialogue, when Brittney Griner was asked if she had any advice for queer women coming out in sports, her answer was simple: “Don’t let them silence you.”
