In case you missed it live on-air last night, I was the guest on Out Loud Radio this week talking about community work, summer tour, racism in the LGBTQ community, and more. I chat with Sasha Buchert from KBOO for a good 40 of the 60 minutes about why we are doing the work we are doing at (and for) Q Center in Portland, my dream for the world, and more.

Oh haaaaay world! Tickets for the Accidental Bear Queer Music Summer Tour Benefit For LGBTQ Mental Health Services & Suicide Prevention with Logan Lynn, Big Dipper, Conquistador, Darling Gunsel, and Rica Shay go on sale May 1st.
The Kickstarter raised a portion of money to make this tour happen, but we are still looking for sponsors to help us cover expenses so we can play these shows and donate the proceeds to Ali Forney Center (NYC), Pride Foundation (Seattle), Q Center (PDX), LA Gay & Lesbian Center, and Stonewall Project (SF). Putting together a 5-band tour takes a bit of cash…but nowhere near as much cash as the tour stands to raise for these vital community resources this summer!
If you are an individual, business, corporation, or organization and you are interested in showing your support of the LGBTQ community, a great way to do that is to become a sponsor of this tour! Click HERE to download the official sponsorship packet. We are especially needing travel and accommodations sponsors, but welcome anyone who would like to get involved in this part of the charity. Additionally, we realize not everyone can donate money or services, but everyone can help us spread the word. Share this post if you feel moved to contribute, friends!

I agreed to be one of the guest panelists for an upcoming Portland Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence event at Crush in Portland on May 19th called “One Nun, Few Peeps”. It’s a fundraiser for Outside In, and it’s a take on Logo’s 1 girl 5 gays. I will be one of said gays, answering questions about (and I quote) “innuendo, intrigue and why we get that tingly sensation whenever we see a hot dog in a bun!” on stage.
Oh my god, friends. What have I gotten myself into???!!!
My homegirl Sister The Vegan Mary is going to be on the panel with me alongside Sister Krissy Fiction, James Lindquist, Zora Phoenix, & Athens Scities Foxx from the Rose Court…and the whole thing is hosted by Novice Sister Bertha Byotch. Don’t miss it!

P.S. – Yes. That’s Grammy Award-winning pop star Matt Alber in this photo with me and the Portland Sisters. He won’t be at this event with us, other than he holds a special place in my heart so he is kinda always there.
