Nothing changes today. I still believe in us — but man, it has been cool to have a few years where it felt like this country cares about me and my family.

Life is never entirely good or bad. I am old enough now to know that it is always both, and that politics and human rights are two sides of the same swinging pendulum.

I don’t know what else to say today and have no idea what is coming for us but I hope we will all choose to find ways of loving one another through this next part.
