A few years ago a doctor told me to stop thinking of my heart as this fragile thing that needed to be protected, but instead to think of it as a brave, tough guy out for an adventure.

(OK maybe it was a psychic who said this to me and not a doctor at all, but the message really helped!)

That same person is the one who told me to “just imagine softness coming back into your life” and so I did, and then softness came back into my life. It left again shortly after that, but I do be over here imagining softness has returned, so perhaps it will.
