I preferred dance over sports, I preferred reading about Greek mythology over comic books. ‘Death Becomes Her’ was my favorite movie from age 7 on, so when I realized I was gay I felt even more alienated. At school, I would get picked on by a lot of the other kids. Through elementary school I was picked on for not being good at ‘boy stuff.’ In Middle School, I really embraced my feminine androgynous side in my fashion sense and self expression, and in High School I refused to hide who I was. I was slammed into lockers, called ‘faggot’, threatened, and ridiculed almost every time I spoke in class. Donated the old Cadillac I bought for my ex way back when to charity today. It’s been fun to drive it all around Portland the past few weeks while it’s been parked at my place but it was time to just let that last piece of the whole damn experience go.

Did you know you can donate your old car to most local humane societies? Repossess the vehicle you bought the man you thought you were going to marry and give it to a dog! Or a cat! Feels good. ❤️
