Featuring Ida No (formerly GLASS CANDY) and Nat Walker (formerly CHROMATICS), Fawn is serving up a big taste of what’s still to come on SOFTCORE, out June 7th on KRS.
SOFTCORE is about my re-emergence into the world after being really hurt by someone I accidentally let get way too close. This is a record of my coming alive again, and coming back to myself in the face of pretty extreme betrayal.
It’s a party album, in a way — loud, wild, unhinged and abrasive at times — but it’s also a collection of tender songs about longing and togetherness. I needed to explore what happens to people when they are finally released from the cages that imprison us at times in our lives. This is one of those times in mine.
I am cageless. Free.
SOFTCORE arrives June 7th on Kill Rock Stars alongside a film by the same name. Pre-order yours HERE now and I’ll be yours forever.
