One of the remixes from Volume 3 of my “Blood In The Water” Remix EP Collection got some attention from the “Boom Boom Chik” Electronic Music Blog this week! To check out all the nice stuff they had to say and have a listen, CLICK HERE.
Here’s a bit from the post to tide you over…
From “Boom Boom Chik”: (2/3/2010)
“New York based music collaborators Jean Goode and Teddy! of The Asteroid Belt are still doing their thing, this time having remixed Logan Lynn’s “Write it on My Left Arm” off of his 2009 release, From Pillar to Post. Lynn is a singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon who delves in different genres ranging from folk to electronic. The remix is a wonderful listen; the musical growth of Jean Goode and Teddy are evident in the fluidity of the track, something that is made possible only when the instrumental arrangements are solid and complement the vocals (as is the case here). Upon hearing the track I thought of the ubiquitous Imogen Heap and the less well known Milosh, two artists who are pretty good to be associated with if you ask me.”
-Radio Morillo, “Boom Boom Chik”
Nice, huh? Go Jean and Teddy!!! Ink and Pixels, baby. Ink and Pixels!!!

The cool kids over at “Just Out” previewed my show this Saturday at Berbati’s in Portland over at their site. You can check it out HERE or keep reading just below…
From “Just Out” (1/20/2010)
–LOGAN LYNN BRINGS SYNTH-CORE TO BERBATI’S PAN THIS SATURDAY–
“If this Saturday’s lineup at Berbati’s Pan isn’t enough to get you out of the house, then dagnamit, we’re simply not even gonna try anymore. We mean it this time! No more tips.
Ugh, okay, FINE! We’ll keep trying, but we shouldn’t have to push very hard when the main course of the evening’s aural buffet is none other than Just Out fave and Portland purveyor of brooding synth-pop, Logan Lynn. Have we got your attention now? We knew you couldn’t quit us…
This Saturday, you can see for yourself – assuming you haven’t already – what all the fuss is about concerning Lynn and his catalog of danceable electro-rock. And for only $5, the additional acts Yeah Great Fine, Swallows, and Winnie Byrd make this show a recession-friendly must-attend for your gloomy winter weekend. You are now free to move about the country.”
-Ryan J. Prado, “Just Out”

Here is a bit of what Byron had to say today…
From “ByronBeck.com” : (1/15/2010)
“LOGAN’S RUN: Logan Lynn’s bio kicks off like this: “If the Land of Misfit Toys elected a team of cultural ambassadors, Logan Lynn would be its poet laureate. In Portland, Oregon’s pulsating indie music scene, he occupies a singular position: an emo prophet with a penchant for electronic beats, preaching the Good Word to drug-damaged crybabies and unemployed, bearded yuppies.”
But I just know Lynn as that cool dude who used to work at Seaplane. And oh yeah, his granny used to teach music to some dude named Johnny Cash. Now he is a full-blown rockstar, or maybe, popstar. Whatever he is, he is awesome and he has a new video to share, “The Last High,” from his hot and very dance-friendly album, “From Pillar to Post,” that’s on The Dandy Warhol’s label, Beat The World Records. It’s a big deal. And just might make him as famous as Beth-You-Know-Who.
Here is what he has to say about his new direction in music: ‘I’ve gone full blown pop with this new record that is coming out late this year. New producer, new direction. I’m, like…HAPPY or something…FINALLY.’ …And I am very happy to share a world exclusive at Byronbeck.com. Here is one of the very first public peeks at “The Last High”—it comes out Tuesday as a single and will be available at loganlynnmusic.com. It is sooo hot!”
