LOGAN LYNN MUSIC + MANAGEMENT

Nothing’s Ever Wrong turns 7 today

7 years ago tonight Jay and I released the last short film we ever made together, Nothing’s Ever Wrong. It was the first time I had directed him, and the song was just me singing live vocals with a piano for the first time in my career. (Not my idea)

The album and film were meant to be a commentary on fame, exposure, addiction, and the isolation we had both been experiencing for years. What happened next was a media circus that stretched across mainstream and LGBTQ+ outlets, focused entirely on the apparently scandalous nudity in the video, followed by our personal lives. It made me feel simultaneously invisible and overexposed, which was honestly the entire point of that record and its accompanying films. It was bonkers. Read the rest of this entry »

My Movie Star Re-Releases Coming in December

Back in 2018 when my last album was released, it was actually two records in one package. The first disc featured all of the original songs and the second was a collection of covers and remixes of those songs by other artists, including Tiffany, The Dandy Warhols, Jarryd James, and a bunch of other super talented folks.

My music distributor at the time did something dumb where all of those other people’s songs only got attributed to me when things went public-facing at stores and on streaming services and, because of that, those tracks have never been visible under any of the other artist’s names, anywhere the record appeared.

Long, incredibly expensive, annoying independent music story short: I got a record deal last year and Kill Rock Stars will be re-releasing the My Movie Star covers and remixes next month! They will FINALLY be in the right place on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Deezer, and everywhere else.

Nature is healing. 🖤
