Logan Lynn Summer Tour Stories, Parts 1 and 2: San Francisco and Los Angeles! (PHOTOS)
I’m back in Portland for a few days midway through our summer tour and figured I would tell you things about the first leg of shows!
The tour kicked-off in San Francisco at Beatbox on Friday night and was great. I heard after the show that one of my all-time musical heroes Bob Mould had asked the tour organizer the day before what time I was performing and then he came to the show! So awesome.
Of course, this also means that Bob got to see me knock both of my bottles of water off of a stool and onto the stage during a song, where they began pouring out into a rat’s nest of wires surrounding me. In an act of quick-thinking, fancy footwork, I repurposed my green LaCoste face towels (which Gino and I use to keep the sweat from blinding us on stage) and used one foot to mop it up while I sang the opening of our next song. It was pretty special. Here’s to not getting publicly electrocuted on stage in SF!
Here are some photos from that show:
Gino Mari (Performing on Tour with Logan Lynn)
On Sunday we played at Los Globos in Los Angeles and had a really special time with all of you there as well! I fucking LOVE LA.
Here are some photos from that show:
Thank you to Gino Mari and Michael Brillig for designing my live show and to Gino especially for being on the road with me and getting me from point A to point B every step of the way!
We’ll be in Portland on Thursday, Seattle on Sunday, and the grand finale in New York City on July 19th! See you again soon, California.

Logan Lynn Interviewed by PQ Monthly This Week! Read it Here.
I was interviewed by PQ Monthly this past week about my summer tour, and this Thursday’s Portland show at Mississippi Studios. Have a gander at the original on the PQ site HERE, or just keep reading below…
From PQ Monthly, July 2013:
Now that July 4th has come and gone, you can start planning for July 11th–that’s the date the tour with the longest official title ever–Accidental Bear Queer Music Tour Benefit for LGBTQ Mental Health Services and Suicide Prevention–descends upon our fair city. The lineup is almost as long as the name–it includes Big Dipper, Logan Lynn, and Rica Shay to name a few–and that’s a very good thing for lovers of music everywhere. (You can check out the entire lineup here.) We had a chance to chat with local music-maker Logan Lynn, who also helps head up Q Center, just before he headed out on tour–we talked un-retiring retirement, tour preparation, the mass of talent assembled for this very good cause, and queer mental health services.
PQ Monthly: You’ve talked lots about the tour prep–and the rigorous schedule involved. Aside from working your ass off, what’s been the best, most rewarding thing about all this so far?
Logan Lynn: Yeah, it’s a lot of work to make a tour happen, and I have Read the rest of this entry »
