Always funny to me when some puffed up clout chasing homophobe starts being gross or hateful in my direction to try and shame, scare or bully me publicly.
Like, uhhhh…I was abused as a child in the church, escaped that cult on my own as a 12 year old, left my family as a 14 year old, came out of the closet, survived being gay in Nebraska, survived being gay in Michigan, survived being gay in Kansas, survived being gay in Tennessee, survived being a gay homeless drug addict in the streets of San Francisco and Portland for 16 years after that, survived mental health crises, eventually got well on my own, survived being gay in Hollywood, survived the media, and have managed to build a truly happy life in the 12 years since that I am actually excited about living, as well as a career that I am super proud of.
These little videos and internet posts calling me gay and crazy never hurt me. GAY AND CRAZY IS LITERALLY MY BRAND. 🌈🖤

I drove the RoadTrek from Portland to Jacksonville, Oregon with Pretty Baby and Keep Oregon Well Resilience Consultant Caitlin Young in tow yesterday so we could wake up in town today for the big show. That was SO much fun, Britt Festival! Holy shit.
Portugal. The Man have been taking me to Satanic rock church every single night on this magical tour, friends — and they’re making all of my big dreams for the world come true while they do it. Actual heroes, every last one of them.
We’ll see you again tomorrow night in Bend!

Maybe it’s just us, but when we think of musicians who are also writers, filmmakers, TV personalities, producers, mental-health advocates, LGBT activists and in recovery from drug/alcohol addiction, Logan Lynn is one of the first people to come to mind. Anyway, Lynn has a new LP coming out this fall called My Movie Star, and much like its creator, it’s many different things at once. The multimedia My Movie Star is part standard album, part covers/remix record and part short film. What makes things even more interesting is the involvement of another man who wears many hats: Jay Mohr. The actor, comedian, producer and Mohr Stories podcaster became indispensable in the making of My Movie Star.
“I met Jay a while back when I did his show, and we both felt this instant connection to one another—like we had been married for years or something,” laughs Lynn. “We started going on adventures together from there and have been pretty inseparable ever since. I fucking love that guy and have never had anyone believe in me the way he does. That belief morphed into an official role at some point in 2016, and his honest feedback became producer notes.”
The 10 songs on My Movie Star were penned by Lynn on the piano in his Portland, Ore., loft, and he streamed these initial writing sessions live via social media. He soon took the clips offline and sent them to Mohr, who had more than his fair share of insightful input to provide Lynn. Read the rest of this entry »

Logan Lynn is an American musician, writer, composer, singer, producer, mental health advocate, LGBT activist, filmmaker and television personality with a career that spans the past two decades. He released his 8th studio album ADIEU in 2016. The record explored issues of mental health, addiction recovery, grief, loss, resilience and Lynn’s own lifelong battle with overcoming persistent suicidal ideation. ADIEU was named one of the “Top 10 Albums of 2016” by Blurt Magazine and Disarm Magazine, as well as one of the “Top 5 Albums of 2016” by Insite Magazine. Read the rest of this entry »
