I’ve been working on new songs with Gino Mari while we’ve been in lockdown for a someday record and figured I would play one of them from the quarantine stage in my studio before I pack everything up for the move.

This one is called “Fight or Flight” and it’s about Portland eating itself. 💋

It’s the weekend again (I think) so I figure it’s time to party. This was the first single of mine that Caroline Records / EMI released in 2009.

It’s a song about butt sex and I have no idea why anyone at the label or at MTV thought this was the track to lead with, but of all the gay stuff I’ve done in my career, this still might be the gayest. 🏳️‍🌈

Playing that good, old-fashioned computer music tonight. No instruments here this evening, kids. It’s all programming, buttons, knobs and laptops — but this song gave me my career, so I respect the machines that made it. All love for the indie pop robots.
