From Paste Magazine:

Portland-based singer/songwriter and Dandy Warhols protegé Logan Lynn has announced that his eighth studio album, Adieu, will be released on Sept. 27. It’ll be available for pre-order on Jul. 1.

Lynn, a recovering addict and an outspoken activist for mental health awareness and the LGBTQ community, discussed the intensely personal inspiration behind Adieu in a release that accompanied the announcement. “Right before my last record came out, my sweet dog Dutch, who had been my best friend and only real companion for over a decade, was killed suddenly and tragically by someone I should not have trusted,” he wrote. “Dutch’s death broke my heart in ways nothing had before, and right on the tails of that deep loss, the truth of my relationship with the man I had loved for years hit suddenly, as well.”

But rather than turning away from the pain, Lynn used it to fuel his creativity. “Adieu is about saying goodbye to love,” he continues. “It is also, at times, about my not wanting to live…or not knowing how to move through this traumatic experience we all call ‘living.’” Thankfully, Lynn did not succumb to the suicidal thoughts that plague him and so many others, and now he has his eighth album to show for it. Thank You for the Awesomeness.

Logan Lynn - The One - Video Still 2 (2016)

Well, friends? January has turned into quite the thing! We still have a couple of days left in this first month of 2016, but after releasing my new video “The One” on New Year’s Eve, a bunch of seriously fun things have happened. 😉

Haven’t seen it yet? Watch it here:

I first want to thank Portland’s 101.9 KINK FM Radio (the #1 Rock Station in the U.S.) for picking up the single immediately and playing it on the radio so much since the release, as well as 99.1 Wild Planet FM Radio and KGW News “Live at 7” for having me on. I feel the hometown Portland love — and the feeling is mutual all around!

New Noise Magazine premiered the video in the States, followed by MTV’s Logo Network (where we were trending online for over 2 weeks!), Accidental Bear, Culture Brats, Oregon Music News and Hype Machine.

I was interviewed by UK Music Site The Sound of Confusion, Glide Magazine, Seattle’s OutSpoken Radio, and Austin Music Podcast “Casting For Two”!

Our song was featured on The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) #NewMusicFriday Playlist, as well as on Propuesta de la Semana, El Podcast #97 (Mexico), Skope Magazine, Roth and Roll (Sweden), Essentially Pop Magazine, Dream Chaser, Our Daily Queer, Blooming OUT Radio, OOYUZ, Quest of Life Radio, Gay News Radio, OPB Music and (perhaps most importantly) Vortex Music Magazine’s Social Media for “Kiss A Ginger Day”. HA!

As of just now when I went to grab the embed code for this post, the video has been watched over 70,000 times. Thank you to each of you who have watched, shared, liked and commented on the video since its release 4 weeks ago. I love you all so much!

The full record, “Adieu”, is coming your way September 27th, with another new single and video before that this spring, so…stay tuned!

From Logo TV’s “NewNowNext”:

Out Singer Logan Lynn Kicks Off 2016 With “The One”
“I do really like the idea that there might be such a thing as ‘the One’ in love.”

New year, new… music? That’s the direction Logan Lynn is taking—the out singer just launched the music video for his new single, “the One,” on New Year’s Eve and its already getting praise.

“I know it’s super old-fashioned sounding, but I do really like the idea that there might be such a thing as ’the One’ when it comes to love,” says Lynn, who used to host NewNowNext Music. “Those types of romantic narratives have totally f*cked me up from time to time, though.”

That’s largely what his new record, Adieu, is about, he says—the ending of a relationship, but also the end of going after the wrong guys. “Men who eventually end up with these types of songs written about them,” adds Lynn. “It’s a thing.”
