FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  Musician and Mental Health Advocate Logan Lynn Awarded 2017 “Excellence in Artistic Expression” Award from The National Council on Behavioral Health

Logan Lynn 2017 Awards of Excellence Honoree

The National Council for Behavioral Health announced today that they will be honoring Portland musician, filmmaker, TV personality and mental health advocate Logan Lynn with the 2017 “Excellence in Artistic Expression” Award at this year’s national behavioral healthcare conference, taking place in Seattle, Washington on April 4th.

Logan Lynn is being recognized for his efforts in music, TV, film and advocacy.  In addition to being a successful musician who uses his platform to explore issues of recovery and resilience, Logan is the Founder of the Keep Oregon Well campaign and social movement to fight the stigma of mental illness and end discrimination.  Keep Oregon Well is a partnership between Logan Lynn and Trillium Family Services (Oregon’s largest provider of mental and behavioral healthcare for children and families), Alpha Media, iHeartMedia, KGW-TV/NBC and an entire army of celebrity talent.

Logan released his 8th studio album ADIEU on September 23rd, 2016. The record explored issues of mental health, addiction recovery, grief, loss, resilience and Lynn’s own lifelong battle with overcoming persistent suicidal ideation.  ADIEU was named one of the “Top 10 Albums of 2016” by Blurt Magazine and Disarm Magazine, as well as one of the “Top 5 Albums of 2016” by Insite Magazine.

In January of 2017 Logan released a documentary film titled “Lead With Love”, about his controversial Inter-Community Dialogue Project with the conservative evangelical Mars Hill Church.  He will star in Last Meal, a new horror-comedy TV series from Two Penguins Productions and the writers of “Search Party” on TBS, this spring.
